Thanks for choosing Jones Outfitters for your day on the water. We hope you enjoy yourself and we are here to assist you in any way we can. We’re glad to offer route suggestions, give directions and give you some tips on car topping your boat. Boats are picked up at our Main Street location and we’ll assist you in loading the boat on to your vehicle. Boat rentals are for 24 hours and you’re welcome to keep the boats overnight. If you choose to return the boat, it must be back by 5:30 PM (4:30 on Sundays) Rentals include paddles, PFD’s, foam blocks and straps for car topping. Clothing suitable for the weather, consider a fleece vest, jacket or wind shirt at almost any time of the season. A first aid kit and a waterproof lighter always make you feel better. Pack it all in a dry bag and get out there. Of course we probably wouldn’t leave the fishing gear at home. Some popular paddles Mirror Lake – No motors are allowed on this pretty lake located right here in the village. It can provide a few quiet hours on the water and its just a short walk from the shop. Lake Placid – This much larger lake is also close by and it allows you to extend your outing quite awhile without driving far at all. Middle Saranac – Great beaches, fishing and paddling about a 25 – 30 minute drive from the shop. Osgood and Church ponds – 40 minute drive to the Paul Smiths area and paddle pretty lakes connected by a man made, hand dug earthen canal. Its one of our favorite half day trips
