Fishing along the West Branch is returning to Fish were taking stone fly nymphs, hoppers and flying ants the last two days and a white zonker seemed a good choice yesterday. Water temps were in the low sixties in the morning, and the morning action has been pretty good.

The fishing has returned but the effects of the storm changed the river and its surroundings. Things may have changed in your favorite spot may be different than you remember it.

The change of seasons is becoming more apparent. Darkness comes so much earlier, there is more color on the hillsides and the apple trees are loaded with more apples than I can ever remember. September is one of the nicest months of the year here and I look forward it and to what it brings.
